Ages are as of January 1st- Birth certificates must be shown if age of dancer is in question.

DANCE SCORING:

Will be based on Technique, Performance, Choreography, Costume, Musicality, & Difficulty.  Each judge will be scoring out of a possible 100 points.  One overall score will be submitted to directors with a total score from each judge.

MODELING SCORING:

Will be based on Performance, Outfit, Appearance, & Choreography.

SPECIAL AWARDS:

Each judge will give judge's choice awards during each awards ceremony.  These awards do not reflect numerical scores. 

Each studio owner attending the competition will receive a blank special award.  During the competition, each studio owner will award a dance (not from their studio) with a special award.  At the end of the competition, the studio owner will be called to the stage to present their special award to the dance they have selected.

 

Judges will also be awarding a choreography award, entertainment award, costume award, and the WORK IT Award, which is given to the judge’s favorite number of the competition.  During these awards choreographers and students will be asked to come to the stage.

Overall High Scores:

Will be given to the highest scoring recreational, intermediate, and advanced:

1.  Solo, Duo, Trio

2.  Group, Line, Production

NEW! 2020-  Adult High Score will be awarded to the highest scoring adult routine (must have more than 5 routines competing).

NEW!  National Work It Dance Challenge Battle

Routines will be chosen at regionals by judges based on entertainment value ONLY!  The Work It Dance Challenge Battle will be held on the last day of Nationals at Great Wolf Lodge.   Routines that were chosen to participate will perform a second time for judges.  During this battle, the most entertaining number will be chosen by the judges to be the overall winner.  The winner will be the most entertaining routine regardless of age, division, etc.
